While you may find random musings on my blog, I plan to consistently share the books I have read and stories from past generations.

 

 

Book that I’ve Read

 

I am by no means a literary critic, but I do love to share my opinions on the books I read. I find it fun to discuss the books I’ve read with other readers. I don’t plan to dive in deep into the books but simply give some general thoughts and sum up with a numerical rating system I created. And as any good teacher would do, I have created a sort of rubric to understand my justification for the number assigned to the book. Here it is –

 

My Rating System:

1 – Did not finish, enjoy, or find value in the book.

2 – I can see why others may value the read but I personally did not enjoy.

3 – Okay. It means that I may have had a difficult time getting into the book or parts of it.

4 – I get it and genuinely like it. I think others will find value or pleasure in the book as well.

5 – LOVE it! I believe most anyone would enjoy, and if you’re human then you will LOVE it as well.

 

 

Stories form Past Generations

 

I hope to bring an appreciation for those that have experienced life before my own generation. It is my goal to highlight the similarities in the elderly and the young, bring an awareness to past issue that are still present today, and teach which moments in the past are worth repeating and which are worth remembering so we can be better in the present. I hope to uncover the moments in life that inspired a person’s course of life.

 

It must be the past educator in me, but I love to learn and grow. My hope is that something on my website will be a source of encouragement for you.
